In 2008, Missouri Roundtable for Life filed three initiative petitions aimed at repairing the damage caused by Amendment 2. As part of that effort, Missouri Roundtable for Life has filed lawsuits challenging the way in which Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, Auditor Susan Montee and Attorney General Nixon rewrote our initiative petitions. If our lawsuits are successful and the Secretary of State issues language which represents our initiative petitions accurately, we hope one or more of them will likely be placed on the ballot in 2010 so Missourians can vote ‘yes’ on each and undo the effects of Amendment 2.
